    Irina Karamarković is a singer, author, composer, arranger, performer and human rights activist. She studied jazz singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz from which she graduated with a PhD on the presence of music from Southeast Europe in Austria’s jazz scene. She writes literary and scientific texts, works for theatre and collaborates with other artists beyond the musical sphere. She is also chairwoman of the Migrants Advisory Council of the city of Graz and charwoman of the Women’s Action Forum Graz.
