    Daniel Göler holds a PhD in Geography and is a Professor of Geographic Migration and Transition Studies at the University of Bamberg, Germany. His research focuses on migration studies, with a particular interest in post-socialist transition contexts in East and Southeast Europe. Research areas include social, economic, urban, and rural geographies of Russia and the Western Balkan countries. Prof. Göler is currently involved in two EU-funded projects: Horizon 2020’s HumMingBird on migration to Europe and Horizon Europe’s Re-place on left-behindness, place attachment and mobility.
